Artists shouldn't wait a lifetime to be appreciated.
We started Raknida so they wouldn't have to. We sell culturally rooted fine art prints by named artists to collectors, designers, hotels and workplaces — open to every culture. Founded in Lagos in 2022; based in St. Louis since 2024.
Every artist named. Every artwork with its Cultural Passport.
Lagos, 2022 — and the work that led there.
Raknida grew out of Insecta Studios, the creative company Anth founded in 2010 to place artists' work in commercial spaces. Every project showed the same gap: cultural work with no attribution, no fair pay and no path to a global stage.
Raknida launched in Lagos in April 2022. In 2024 Arch Grants chose it — the only non-US company of 574 applicants — with a $100,000 award that brought us to St. Louis.
Art shouldn't just be something enjoyed by the elite. And artists shouldn't have to wait till they die before their work is appreciated.
— Anthony Ezeokoye · Founder & CEOThree things we're trying to do.
Everything we publish, price and credit comes back to these.
Make art accessible.
Fine art prints from $45 for first collectors, with editions and trade pricing that scale to hotels and workplaces.
Pay artists fairly.
Every artist is named on every work and earns a 55% profit share to artists, on the price actually paid.
Keep the story with the work.
Every artwork comes with its Cultural Passport — who made it, and the tradition it draws on.
Documentation that travels with the artwork.
A digital Passport, emailed as each order ships, sized 5 × 7 in (13 × 18 cm) to print and frame. Written with the artist and reviewed by our curators, it names the tradition the work draws on and travels from owner to owner.
A track record, not a pitch.
Four years of work with artists, exhibitions and clients.
Clients.
Hospitality and corporate clients in Nigeria — now growing in the US.
Recognition.
Arch Grants 2024, with an Entrepreneurship Excellence award. UMSL Anchor Accelerator 2026 — its first honorary valedictorians.
Every culture welcome.
Our catalogue starts with the African and diaspora artists we know best, and grows as artists from every culture join.
The people behind it.
Both founders are Nigerian-born, and want heritage reflected in the spaces where people live and work.
