In short
Moving in with a partner, or sharing a home with housemates, means agreeing on the walls. “Gender-neutral” art is not about avoiding anything. It is about finding work that everyone feels at home with.
Each of you picks five works you love, anywhere online. Lay them side by side and look for the overlap: a colour, a subject, a mood, a scale. That overlap is your brief. Labels like “masculine” and “feminine” help less than you might think.
Dividing walls into “yours” and “mine” rarely works. Instead, choose a palette that holds both tastes. Pair a bold piece with a quieter one, or warm tones with cool. Consistent frames tie different works together.
A work with a story becomes shared ground. It might be a place you both love, a tradition one of you comes from, or an artist you discovered together. Abstract work, landscapes, cityscapes and portraits of people you admire all tend to sit easily with everyone.
Not sure about size? Use Preview on wall on any Raknida product page to try a work in a room first.
